Well, I've finally done it

Well, I've finally done it. Here I am online. My friends have been asking me to do this for a while so off I go. Not sure exactly what I will talk about on this website but I'm sure it will be lots of rambling on my part. Isn't that what blogs are all about?

Today is the most beautiful day we've seen here in Dallas, TX in a while. I have actually opened all windows and doors in my house. I'm giddy. It makes me wish I had installed that hammock that has been in my garage for the past two years. Who am I kidding? There is so much stuff in my garage, I don't know if I could actually find the hammock. I might trip over the two couches, three filing cabinets, one coffee table and boxes of papers my husband insists we "store."

I'm home now having left a position a couple of weeks ago. Never thought I would be the stay-at-home type (and still not sure I am) but with a belly as big as mine and Baby #2 set to arrive in 6 weeks, no shot at finding another job until the new year.

Why my blog name? Well, of course, all parents know Goodnight Moon. My son thinks this is the greatest book ever written. (It might be outdone recently, however, by Go, Dog. Go.) That said, my title also defines a bit of who I have been for the past couple of years. Sleep deprived. My best friend, Alex, once said that he was actually not by best friend, sleep was my best friend. I sure miss my friend, Sleep. I still have Alex, though, so that is some consolation. I think I'll write a poem about sleep. Just kidding. I'll leave that to my other friends. All the poems I know begin with, "There once was a guy from Nantucket..."

That's it for today. I'm going to spend some more time trying to figure out how to upload photos.

Welcome to the blogosphere. Okay, I'll stop saying that. But I'm so happy you've started a blog.

You ROCK Special K!

Yay! Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging Kristi. Once you get started it's difficult to stop. It's also a great stress-reliever.
