Thanks for the Prayers

Goodnight,Mom is busy tending to Little Eva. She asked me, her Dad, to update her blogger friends. Little Eva just came out of surgery. The tumor was mid-range in virulence and almost too large for them to operate on without first administering chemo to shrink it. But, the surgeon informed us that he got it all out. They felt that she would not need chemo so they did not insert a port. She also was doing so well, they did not need to put her on a ventilator.
Of course we are not totally out of the woods yet, but we are all thrilled that it is over and it went so well. Kristi wanted me to thank all of you who prayed and continue to pray for Little Eva. That made all the difference. And as always, we give God the glory!!!

Thanks, Jon, for the update. I know you are relieved that the surgery is over. I can only imagine how long the wait felt.

We are keeping you in our hearts until we hear that Eva has the "all clear."

Hugs to everyone,

I stumbled onto your blog tonight while looking through the listing of Dallas blogs.

Did a quick skim and just wanted to offer my thoughts and prayers to those of your friends and family.

Have you heard of heroes for children? www.heroesforchildren.org

t is a fabulous charity, put in place by two amazing women, to support families as their children battle cancer.

I'm sure your SW at medical city has information on this, should you need it.

just wanted to put that out there.

prayers and good thoughts,

Jen

I am glad to hear that the surgery went well. I was just passing by a few blogs, read Jan's and read the situation regarding Eva. My heart goes out to you; no parent should have to go through that. Eva is continually in my prayers. Happy Birthday to Jack, by the way. Perhaps I'll make my way to Dallas one of these days and have my children visit with yours. Thanks for the updates.

Hugs and prayers,
Mary (Alex's sister)

Hugs to the entire family from Oregon. Good news on a difficult surgery. Wonderful not to need a ventilator...and amazing no port. She sounds like a sweetheart.

Happy BDay Jack, it's my father's birthday today, too. He is special and you must be, too.

Kristi! You are the strongest woman in the world! What a test! Give Jack a big Happy Birthday hug and tell him he's the toughest big brother there is. As for Eva, what a sweet little angel. I will keep praying for ya'll. Please let me know if there is anything Sandy or I can do to help.
